SUMMARY:

As a member of the Service Team, the Field Technician (Lubrication) will report to the Service Manager. This is a highly motivated team player who ensures Strongco exceeds customer expectations by completing required tasks in a professional and timely manner. Overall responsibility for managing the safe, efficient, clean, organized and professional performance of the Service Department operations at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Focus on the development and implementation of a "customer service, customer focused" philosophy within the department ;

- Focus on increasing revenue, improving operational efficiencies and overall customer satisfaction through timely completion of field service work;

- Responsible for all aspects of assigned lube/field service calls including but not limited to;

o Proactive contact with the customer to correctly identify machine defects,

o Accurate ordering of necessary parts and follow-up to ensure parts are received to complete assigned service work,

o Submit accurate and timely service reports (including time cards),

o Maintain and service the service vehicle and assigned tools,

o Daily check of vehicle and maintenance of CVOR logbook,

o Effective, open and frequent communication with dispatch and the office,

o Performs lubrication services in a timely manner,

o Grease machines upon completion of lube services,

o Label machines with the hours and date of last service performed, when lube services are completed,

o Be responsible for the return of unused parts upon completion of field service work,

- Ensure that all field service requests from customers or field dispatch are handled in a professional and timely manner at all times,

Health and Safety: We expect all Strongco employees to perform their work in a safe manner, to follow all Strongco safety policies and to report all unsafe conditions and unsafe work procedures. In addition, Strongco employees will be required to report any incidents, accidents or near misses in accordance with company policies.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Exceptional Customer Service Skills;

- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; and

- Demonstrable Time Management Skills;

- Proficiency with hand tools, flashlights, welding equipment, pneumatic tools, etc;

- Willingness to participate and complete required training initiatives ;

- Must have a clean driving record and a D driver's license ;

- Must provide own tools.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

- Post secondary education and heavy equipment license required.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Although the majority of time is spent in an assigned territory (field environment), occasional travel to other branches or customer locations outside of the assigned service area may be required.
