Strongco is looking for a National Credit Manager to lead, coach and mentor the entire credit and collection efforts across the organizations network. You must be solution sales oriented, while balancing risk management.
You must also lead and champion credit policy management by ensuring process and procedure compliance is executed.
About the Opportunity:
Manage and supervise the daily activities of the Credit Department.
Continuous review of the company's credit policy to ensure it remains appropriate and current, and monitoring company's credit practices to ensure compliance with policy.
Determining creditworthiness and establishing credit limits.
Works collaboratively with sales and service.
Supports company sales efforts by providing credit support that maintains balance between minimizing risk and maximizing revenues.
Perform pre-sale credit risk evaluation, including financial statement analysis, and other relevant information.
Continuous credit reviews and credit ratings are maintained.
Establish processes to ensure RSLA and PPSA registrations are put in place.
Work with management and sales to develop strategies to reduce the DSO
Review of disputed accounts report with personal credit and / or managers.
Review and approval bad debt write-offs and consolidate the allowance for doubtful accounts.
Provide management with regular status reports on outstanding receivables
Monthly report of accounts with their credit limit and exception.
Provincial and federal tax exemption reports and follow-up with personal data collection and verification.
Demonstrated success in leading, directing, managing, and developing staff and high-performance teams.
Have strong technical background in credit and financial analysis.
You are assertive and able to make tough decisions and have demonstrated excellent skills in negotiation, conflict management and problem-solving.
You have a high level of personal and professional management.
Have experience in directing and maintaining adherence to standard operating procedures, metrics, and regulatory compliance.
You can maintain a stable performance under pressure or a stressful way in which a person is acceptable to others and the organization.
You have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based software and specific job applications.
You have been working with SAP and would like an asset.
Ideally must be able to read, write and speak Fluently English and French.
Have strong ability to interact and interact with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
Your Competencies for this Role are:
University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or post-secondary education in Finance / Accounting or a related program.
Bi-lingual in French will be considered an asset
Minimum 7 years' experience in credit and collections
At least 5 years at the managerial level
CCP designation or equivalent work experience
You must be residing in the Greater Toronto Area and be eligible for this opportunity.
