
Job Description: Be a highly motivated team player (be highly motivated to make teamwork a success, be highly motivated to work as a team) to ensure Strongco exceeds customer expectations by completing requested functions in a professional and timely manner. Overall, he/she is responsible for safety, efficiency, cleanliness, organization, and ensuring a professional handling performance of the parts ordered at all times.
Immediate Supervisor: Road Service Supervisor (Road Foreman)
Main duties and responsibilities:
Emphasize the development and implementation of a customer service philosophy with a customer focus, in collaboration with the department and branch.
Focus on increasing revenue, improving operational efficiencies and overall customer satisfaction through the timely completion of maintenance work.
Responsible for all aspects of service purchase orders, including but not limited to;
Proactive intervention to properly identify machine defects,
Accurate and timely diagnosis and repair including connection to laptop to identify machine fault codes
Effective communication with Volvo in accordance with Techline and/or direct calls to facilitate proper diagnostics.
Accurate ordering of required parts and proper follow-up to ensure parts are received to complete the repair job as requested.
Timely and accurate submission report including time sheets.
Maintain service unit and tools under his/her responsibility.
Complete log book, daily and monthly inspections.
Open and effective communication with supervisor
Test repairs when completed.
Responsible for the timely return of unused parts after completion of work as assigned by the Road Service Supervisor.
Responsible for ensuring that all service work requested by either the customer and/or the supervisor is organized in a professional and timely manner at all times.
Health and Safety: All Strongco employees are expected to perform their work in a safe manner and in compliance with all Health and Safety policy regulations, and to report any unsafe or hazardous conditions in the established procedures. In addition, Strongco employees are required to report all incidents/accidents as well as near misses in accordance with the policy.
Working Conditions: Although most of the time you will be assigned to one territory, you may be required to work in another territory depending on your workload.
Minimum Requirements and Skills:
Exceptional customer service skills
Construction equipment diploma or heavy equipment certificate and/or equivalent
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Computer skills (email, Prosis, Techline, V-CADS)
Mastery of time management skills (organization, planning).
Proficiency with hand tools, laptop, flame cutting, welding equipment, air tools etc.
Willingness to participate and complete requested training as well as those to be completed on a voluntary basis
Must have a clean driving record
