Our Strongco locations are open to the public. We have defined safety procedures in place in full compliance with the Public Health Agency of Canada guidelines, and have installed additional protection for our staff and customers to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Curbside parts pickup is still available for those who call ahead, but customers can now enter through our Parts entrance to place orders at the counter. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, with 24 hour Emergency Call-out for Parts & Service.

Strongco will be consolidating the Crane and Construction Equipment divisions in the Alberta region. This strategic move will enhance the synergies within these businesses and the entire Alberta region will be led by Steve DiLoreto, Regional Vice President, Alberta .

Porto, Portugal – March 19, 2020: Nors, S.A. (“Nors”), a global leader in transport solutions and construction equipment, is pleased to announce the appointment of Oliver Nachevski to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Strongco Corporation (“Strongco”). This comes on the heels of the recently completed acquisition by Nors of Strongco Corporation on March 18, 2020. The combined entities now share a global footprint that spans over 17 countries on four continents.


Drawing on more than two decades of experience, Nachevski will provide strategic operational and financial leadership to Strongco’s senior executive team. He will also be responsible for modelling the company culture and values to be in line with those of the Nors Group, now the parent company operating out of Porto, Portugal.

“We are excited for Oliver to take on the responsibilities of President and CEO of Strongco,” said Tomás Jervell, Chief Executive Officer of Nors. “He was a key member of the management team that strengthened the company’s financial health, and we believe his leadership represents a positive direction for Strongco and Nors as a whole.”

He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and has held many titles, including most recently Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, where his leadership skills played a crucial role in growing the business and successfully overcoming strategic challenges.

NORS GROUP PURCHASES STRONGCO AND TAKES OVER ITS VOLVO CE LOCATIONS ACROSS CANADA

Shippensburg, PA – March 19, 2020: Nors Group (Nors), a global leader in transport solutions and construction equipment, has purchased Strongco Corporation (Strongco) and will take over its Volvo Construction Equipment’s Canadian dealerships and distribution. The Portugal-based company finalized the deal to purchase Strongco on March 18.

Nors is taking over 22 Volvo CE locations, including those in the provinces of Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador. With almost 90 years of experience in the industry and operations in 16 countries, including the U.S. and Mexico under its jointly owned company, Ascendum Machinery, Nors has built a reputation as an outstanding dealer that is focused on providing unique solutions to its customers.

“We believe that Strongco will benefit from Nors’ global presence and brand recognition, and from its long experience in the automotive and construction equipment industry to further enhance its superior performance and future growth.
